FREDERIKSTED- Community Music Inc. will present an Emancipation Day Quelbe Jazz Concert featuring musical performances and dub poetry that commemorate the abolition of slavery in the Virgin Islands.
CHRISTIANSTED – Jazz in the Park-Christiansted is back this Friday, and we’re going virtual!
Themed “Music from the shores of the Caribbean,” the concert will be livestreamed from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, June. 26, at Facebook.com/viconsortium.
In keeping with the governor’s mandate to cancel events of 50 or more, our Jazz in the Park concerts on March 27 and April 24 have been canceled. We hope to come back on May 29. [Read more…]
CHRISTIANSTED — Trumpet master Eddie Russell and his band will invoke the spirit and sounds of Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and several other jazz greats, past and present, at a special Black History Month edition of Jazz in the Park this Friday.

Community Music Inc. normally hosts its Jazz in the Park concerts on the last Friday of each month. However, we’ve moved up our concert by a week this month to Friday, Dec. 20, so that the concert takes place before Christmas Day. [Read more…]
